Duvas Technologies, is a technology company, spun out of Imperial College in 2008 by MDT (UK) Limited and Imperial Innovations. The Company produces a proprietary multi-species gas analyser based upon proven Ultra Violet spectroscopy with proprietary technology and know-how.  The product's initial market is addressing Air Quality Management (AQM), although it also has applications in security/emergency response and oil and gas. The Company is based at Queen Mary BioEnterprises (QMB) Innovation Centre, East London.

Job title: Software Engineer C++, C#,  .NET

Salary: £34,000- £36,000 depending on experience.

Job description: an experienced and creative software engineer to maintain and develop monitoring and analysis software running across embedded Linux and Windows platforms.

Required skills:

    Strong C++ - preferably with experience of cross-platform development
    Standard Template Library (STL)
    Good understanding of object-oriented design - knowledge of UML a good indication of this
    C#, .NET and Windows programming
    XML
    Experience and understanding of good user interface design (especially in a Windows context)

Desirable skills:

    Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) - could be learned on the job by someone with good XML and .NET skills.
    C++/CLI, an understanding of how to develop in C++ for .NET managed code  - again, can be learned by someone with strong C++ and .NET
