My visa expire date is 30-1-2014. However, I always thought the last day of January is the latest date on which I can leave UK, that I had booked and paid the flight ticket on 31-1-2014. I even do not realize such a problem until today my flat mates tell me the fact and also worry about my case.
I try to alter my flight and choose a new one before the expire date, yet at this moment there is no more economic flight space, especially due to Chinese Spring Festival. I really worry about my leaving case.

Now I have emailed UKBA, Gov UK, Chinese Embassy in UK and UK Embassy in China…
What i should do… Could any kind people help me to sort it out?

这位同学，
您好，关于的CASE, 我不知道有没有理解错，你的签证是1月30日结束，你买了1月31日的机票。

如果是这样的话，你完全不用担心，UKBA规定签证逾期28天内还是可以在英国境内续签，逾期28天-90天可以回国再签证。
如果在英国逾期90天以上，将不能在1年内再次重新申请签证进入英国。所以，不用担心。如果你将来还想签证来英国，只管重新签证就可以了，签证表上如实回答之前逾期的情况，不会有问题的。

希望上面的回答能解决你的问题。

没事儿~~~ 我当年也犯了个和你一样silly的错误~也是定了签证晚一天的飞机，但是当时不知道呀~还破费了100多胖子重新改签了机票，谁知道其实是可以的！签证结束的28天内离境就木有问题

学校给答复了，似乎不容乐观……
Dear ***,

I have spoken with an advisor in Welfare and have explained the situation to them. They have suggested that, if you are not planning on extending your visa, the best thing to do in order to safeguard the situation would be to make every attempt to reschedule your flight so that it leaves before the expiry of your visa. If not, you would be classed as an overstayer (even if only by one day) and this could be detrimental to your immigration history and any future applications to the UK.

You are welcome to speak to Student Welfare Services on 0116 223 1185 if you have any further concerns as they would be better-placed to respond to any immigration and visa enquiries.

不用理会学校的信，上面都有人说了从理论上没事。
签证到期了没离境英国人能把你怎么样，1月30号签证到期了即使警察抓到你要把你遣返都买不到31号的飞机票，下次签证来英国时最多写信解释一下就好了，毕竟机票是在签证到期前买的，最多申请永久拘留时麻烦点，要是马上就够资格签永拘的话还是改票买头等票吧，不要因小失大。

如果将来你还打算要来英国的话，要尽量改期，虽然这个比较贵。这次逾期出境理论上可能会影响你将来再次入境英国，虽然要看将来签证的caseworker，英国出境不盖章但是中国入境是有章的，所以细看还是能看出你overstay过，还有就是你将来申请签证的时候表格里问你曾经overstay没，得照实说，虽然不太好但是如果没写出来被查到的话就不值得了。其实很多人说，那个可以过期后28天再走这个是误解，这个政策是在你续签签证失败后收到信，有28天的离开英国缓冲时间，不是说任何人可以在签证过期后的28天离开的。

学校Welfare service的信其实理论上是没有错的。只是你要自己衡量下，将来如果有回英国的打算，最好尽量按期离开，虽然下次签证overstay也许不一定会造成拒签，但是风险还是有的。

楼主看起来应该不像是可以办PR的人。如果楼主将来有长期在英国的打算的话，最好还是按期离开。否则的话自己好好衡量下。情况是overstay理论上可能会影响你下次来英，但具体要具体的caseworker看实际情况决定，很多人还是能成功再签过来

不管怎嘛样你即使逾期了别人也是要把你往国内送的所以对他们来说木有影响，你出境没有问题，你回到国内你是公民入境也不会有问题，就是下次入境英国时会不会有问题那也要看你以后有木有回uk的打算了
